About The Noah Commission

That every young person might have positive influence in their life so that they continue in their education and enjoy a positive outlook of life, supporting integrity, high moral value, solid work ethic and a meaningful contribution to society.

The mission of The Noah Commission is to provide an environment where young people might develop life skills and core values important to their personal growth and education. These are developed through the activities of wooden boat building.

Our Goals and Objectives
Our goals at Noah Commission include providing boat building program incentives to participants, using them as reward for continuing educational efforts culminating in high school graduation, GED accomplishment and a preparation for higher education.

We also want to provide traveling programs and making access to boat building possible. We provide tools, materials and program curriculum for learning the vocational skills of the boat building experience as well as teach and train the skills necessary for building wooden boats while providing life applicable lessons.

I am Gary Beard, a resident of Forsyth County, GA. I am the President of The Noah Commission Corportation, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We are a fledgling group dedicated to assisting community youth through the activities of wooden boat building. We are a 100% volunteer group and we are looking for volunteers to help us help the youth of the greater Forsyth County Georgia community. Our purpose, frankly, is to encourage at risk students to stay in school, graduate and become citizens, demonstrating high levels of personal and community responsibility.

We want to work, in a collaborative way, with schools, social and community outreach organizations for the greater good of our youth.
